A fairly large
stairway landing window (nearly 4 feet square) needed
restoration. The central medallion was intact and needed
cementing. Removal involved removing an exterior storm panel and
freeing the window which was painted shut a decade or so ago. The
sash frame was reconditioned by a local woodworker. Glass was
cleaned and replacement glass cut. The panel was then releaded,
soldered, cemented, rebarred, and re-installed in the sash frame.
The owner, Ellen, and Gary then reinstalled the window. You are
actually seeing the panel doubled (bottom half is real, top half just a
reflection).
