St.
Mary's Episcopal Church in Hamilton Village in University City is a 150
year old church on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
Gary was asked to redo a tower window. The process involves taking the
panel out of its frame, removing each piece of glass from the lead,
cleaning each piece of glass, and cutting replacement glass for missing
pieces. The panel seen below is nearly cleaned and ready for
re-leading. Next, the panel is re-leaded, soldered, cemented and
re-mounted in its frame. The frame was cleaned, glued, exterior
painted and interior oiled.
